GPA’s highly vetted providers, evaluate and treat adult range patients (18 and above). They each bring the highest level of clinical skill in Primary Care and  Integrative Medicine which emphasizes our firm’s commitment to diet, nutrition, and plant medicine which are essential in restoring and maintaining health in combination with allopathic approaches. We also provide consultation services for pediatric range patients (ages 0-17 yr). We are an evidence-based firm whose approach to patient concerns is undergirded by a “wellness” philosophy.

GPA has experience in population health management, pay-for-value contracting, integrated care delivery systems, continuous documentation improvement, denials management, and utilization review. We provide consultation services to emerging integrated care delivery systems and provider groups.

Our providers have an in-depth understanding of pay-for-value models and share expertise in leading the organizational change from traditional fee-for-service payment models toward data-driven, value-based payment structures along with rudimentary primary and Integrative care. Our providers have a strong knowledge base in data-driven outcomes, clinical utilization, and quality metrics with a hands-on understanding of its application to practice operations, clinical quality, and provider activities.

Our providers have strategic, analytic, and critical thinking skills with proven ability to use data-enabled EHR, administrative, and claims data to identify opportunities, inform program design, drive bedside care processes, and improve clinical and financial outcomes. Our physician providers have additional training in public, population health, Functional and Integrative Medicine. They have experience in the design, implementation, and oversight of utilization management and care management strategies.

Our providers have proven ability to develop and lead high-performing multidisciplinary teams, with experience growing a rapidly scaling organization. Our providers possess In-depth experience with ambulatory information systems, EHR systems, and practice management software. 

Our providers are selected for excellent verbal, written, presentation, and group facilitation skills with the ability to convey complex or technical information in a manner that others can understand at all levels of an organization. Our physicians, physician assistants, nurses, mental health practitioners, exercise therapists, and case managers demonstrate comfort in speaking in front of large audiences of consumers, clinical stakeholders as well as C-suite level executives.

Members of our team are vetted for strong critical thinking skills and for their caring, considerate responses to patients and their families. In addition to the individual patient and family, they are equally as comfortable in conversing with large hospital and corporate medical teams and understand pay-for-performance and “results-oriented” dynamic.

Management Team

Dr. M. Ishmael Griffin, Chief Executive Officer and Founder

CEO and founder, Dr. M. Ishmael Griffin, MD MAS-PopHM FAAEM, has 25+ years of clinical practice in challenging settings ranging from Level 1-4 trauma centers (critical/trauma) to independently owned Urgent Care Practices. Dr. Griffin’s specialties include Emergency Medicine/EMS, Urgent Care, Primary Care, Population Health, and Integrative Medicine.

Dr. Griffin is a Harvard University graduate who completed his medical studies at The University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine and graduated from The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA)/ Charles R. Drew School of Medicine, where the graduates’ focus was on preparing to serve in US underserved communities.

Dr. Griffin completed an Emergency Medicine residency at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center, NYC.  He completed an Emergency Medical Services fellowship with the NYC Fire Department.  He also has a Master’s Degree in Population Health Management, from the Johns Hopkins Grossman School of Public Health.

As a Board Certified physician since 1999, Dr. Griffin has spent his last 9 years in New York City as an Attending Emergency Medicine Physician, Physician Advisor, and Emergency Department Director for several large inner-city New York Hospitals such as NYC/HHC – Woodhull and Coney Island campus, Wyckoff Medical Center, and Interfaith Medical Center. At these healthcare facilities, Dr. Griffin administered critical patient care while training resident physicians and physician assistant students in the art of care of critically ill patients in these underserved and primarily low-income communities.  Dr. Griffin has dedicated his career to underserved communities and considers himself a specialist in “Underserved Medicine”, with academic and civic interests reflecting such over the past 17 years.

Dr. Griffin has strong clinical skills with 25+ years of healthcare experience, academic professorship, research, and 8+ years in leadership roles in a large Level 1- 2 designated trauma center. Dr. Griffin has direct hands-on experience as a former owner/operator of a rapidly growing Urgent Care Association of America (UCAOA) accredited practice with several of our key clinical leaders sharing the same expertise. 

Gloria Ayide, Chief Operating Officer

Gloria Ayide is a highly organized, dedicated, and caring healthcare professional with over twenty years of experience in assessing problems and implementing solutions in a rapidly changing health care environment including oversight of multimillion-dollar budgets, and contracts/grants.  She served as Director of the New York State  Department of Health’s Cancer Services Program of Brooklyn.  The Cancer Services Program (CSP) is a grant-funded program offering free screening for breast, cervical and colorectal cancer to uninsured men and women.  She worked to create a screening provider system that consisted of over thirty-five hospitals, family health care centers/clinics through the borough of Brooklyn along with three mobile mammography units that provide cancer screenings to thousands of uninsured men and women of Brooklyn. She developed and maintained a network of healthcare providers that are tailored to the language and cultural needs of the community.  She assisted with educating and guiding those providers through the complex screening, reporting, and case management requirements of the program.

She created educational initiatives and outreach programs that provided the community information about the services the CSP offered while building a base of support for patients screened and diagnosed through the program.  Ms. Ayide has vast experience in researching and applying for funding sources to reach the highest number of potential clients. 

She maintained public support for and awareness of the program by meeting regularly with community leaders and elected officials. She created and assisted with an arrangement of promotional campaigns to increase screening rates and recruit patients for cancer screenings.  Ms. Ayide worked with the Chief of Gastroenterology at Brooklyn Hospital and her team of Gastroenterology Fellows to research and study the urban attributes and disparities in colorectal screening with a focus on Fecal Immunochemical Testing (FIT). 

She was awarded an academic scholarship to begin her studies as a Pre-Medical major at the University of Rochester then transferred to the University of Rochester, Simon Business School to major in Marketing and Business Administration.  She is currently completing her studies at Purdue University Global, where she will be obtaining both her baccalaureate and master’s in Business Administration in the spring of 2024.

Currently, Gloria is the CEO and Owner of Naturally Beautiful by G LLC, which is a natural skincare and wellness line she created after years of struggling with skin issues that traditional medicine was not helping to eliminate.  She used her knowledge from her Pre-Med studies and self-education of the use of essential oils to create skincare and wellness products that help to prevent and eliminate many health and skin conditions such as acne, eczema, stress, and anxiety.

Dr. Junior Max Destine, Chief Population Health Officer

Professor at North Broward Technical Center and an adjunct professor at Ana. G. Mendez University. He holds a degree in Biology, has a master’s in Public Health, and a certificate in Global Health from Drexel University School of Public Health. He completed an MBA in Pharmaceutical Healthcare Business at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. As the former founder of Good Samaritan Clinic founded in Aguascalientes Mexico, his approach in life has always been to help the community and educate people about diabetes, obesity, hypertension to prevent the complications of these diseases. He is a true believer in preventative medicine and has demonstrated it through examples in his involvement in participating in the dengue epidemic in Cuba.

From 2006 to 2012, Dr. Destine was involved in several public health initiatives requiring door-to-door surveillance, patient retrieval, and management in Havana during a severe Dengue epidemic. Dr. Destine has more than ten plus years of Clinical Research Professional experience with clinical trials in industry and academic settings. He manages multiple clinical trials including the initiation of clinical trials based on protocol and study directions.  He engaged in late-phase clinical trials focused on fighting the dengue epidemic in Havana Cuba, collecting epidemiological data from patients, and writing the number of patients who presented with alarming symptoms.  He recently served as a Research Analyst for the Lilly PYBA Covid19 Monoclonal Antibody Treatment under IQVIA sponsored by Eli Lilly.  Dr. Destine applied epidemiological approaches in global and environmental health research and practice for analyzing the roles, relationships, and resources of the entities influencing global health in Cuba. At Claude Mendel Medical Clinic, he helped formulate forms to help with the in-house osteoporosis project, assisting with informed consent, collecting data, entering data in the electronic medical record, and reviewing patient charts at Claude Mendel Medical Clinics supervised by Dr. Claudia Johnson. He later participated in the PATH (Population Assessment of Tobacco and Health) sponsored by NIH and FDA. 

Dr. Destine has always been an advocate for preventative medicine. Dr. Destine’s goal is to make preventative medicine accessible and affordable through a digital health platform such as Remote Patient Monitoring that creates an approach to caring for people of all walks of life in the United States and around the world.
